When you ask for a quote

The quote page sends the details you choose to provide directly to Shoe Hole. We need your name, email address, postcode and whether you want a photo or video stair check. A phone number, full address, preferred video time and neighbour interest are optional at this stage.

If you choose a photo check, you can privately upload a wide view of the stairs and a cupboard, side or underside view. These pictures can contain details about your home, so they are kept in private storage and used only to assess the stair arrangement, reply with a quote and manage any work you later choose to book.

We do not make customer stair photos public or use them for advertising without appropriate permission. If you do not have both pictures yet, you can send your contact details first and we will explain exactly what is still needed.

How the form is protected

Cloudflare Turnstile runs a short anti-spam check when you submit the form. Cloudflare provides the website hosting, private photo storage and enquiry database used to receive your request safely. The form creates a Shoe Hole reference so a retry does not create the same enquiry twice.

Website analytics and advertising measurement

If you choose “Analytics only” or “Allow both”, we use Google Analytics to understand visits, useful pages, general traffic sources and steps such as starting or completing the quote journey. Google advertising storage remains off unless you choose “Allow both”, and personalised advertising stays switched off.

If you choose “Allow both”, we also load the Google Ads tag and the Meta Pixel. The Google Ads tag can use an ad-click identifier to attribute the linked accepted-enquiry event. The Meta Pixel records page visits and a standard Lead event only after the website has successfully received a stair-check enquiry. This helps us understand whether a Google, Facebook or Instagram advert produced a genuine enquiry.

We do not send your name, email, phone number, postcode, street address, customer reference, photo names, photos or written messages to Google Analytics or Meta. Anonymous site actions and non-identifying form-progress details—such as whether the photo or video route was chosen—may be measured. You can choose “Analytics only” or “No thanks”, and you can change your choice at any time using the “Privacy choices” button.

Cookies and local storage

We store your analytics and advertising choices in your browser so we do not ask on every page. If you allow analytics, Google Analytics may set first-party cookies such as _ga. If you allow advertising measurement, Google Ads may set cookies beginning _gcl, and the Meta Pixel may set cookies such as _fbp and _fbc.

Email myshoehole@gmail.com if you want to ask what we hold about an enquiry, correct it or request deletion. We will only retain enquiry and customer information for as long as it is genuinely needed for the service, records and legal obligations.
